As I mentioned in this post, I have been in the market for some new black denim and was thrilled to find these when I visited FASHIONABLE’s store several weeks ago. Denim is not my typical go-to item for several reasons: I feel more comfortable in a dress or skirt, it’s rare that I find a pair of jeans that I really like and that are flattering for my body type. Pear-shape anyone?

Considering the environmental impact of denim production (3700 liters of water per jean) I also knew I wasn’t going to settle on just any pair. Denim is an investment and should be purchased with longevity in mind. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried on this pair – they fit like a glove and have just the right amount of stretch to them.
