As previously mentioned, the first trimester of pregnancy was tough, and I had little to no energy to do anything. I consider myself a hardworking, driven individual, but pregnancy has a way of slowing you down – way down. Now that I’ve moved into the second trimester, I’m starting to regain my energy and motivation. Hooray!
My wardrobe options are becoming fewer with each passing week; however, I am trying to wear as many of my clothes as possible before drifting into maternity wear. There are very limited options for ethical/sustainable maternity fashion.
Accompany
Accompany is an E-commerce site that curates ethical apparel and accessories. Their mission is to offer “handmade pieces and ethically sourced items, that bring human impact and fashion impact together to create feel-good goods through a look-good lens.” It is evident that they have taken the time to carefully handpick beautiful, unique items. I have had my eye on this Uzma Bozai hand beaded sweatshirt for some time, and when Accompany offered an additional 60% off sale items, I went for it. Typically, I do not gravitate toward sweatshirts or t-shirts; however, my growing belly has made me covet all things with an elastic waistband. I sized up in this sweatshirt in hopes that I can wear it for the next month or two. Several other options I like are here, here, and here.
