If you have followed me on my ethical fashion journey for any amount of time, you know that I’m a dress person. I will choose a dress over pants any day of the week. You can imagine my excitement when Sarah Gallagher, co-founder of Gallagher, reached out and asked if we could collaborate.
Gallagher, founded by two sisters, specializes in beautiful, made-to-order dresses to fit any occasion. What I love about this brand is that they have given careful consideration to every step of the process in making their dresses. Read more about their mission and production process here.

I chose the Emily dress in black for its chicness and versatility for our travels in Europe. I’ve worn it during the day while exploring (as shown here) as well as out to a nice dinner. The craftsmanship of the dress is what sets it apart from other dresses, and the attention to detail is impeccable. My favorite part is the bow tied in the back.

I talk often about buying less, but better – quality over quantity. As a stylist, I tell clients about the Cost Per Wear (CPW) analysis. Divide the cost of an item by how many times you will wear it over the course of several years, and that is your CPW.
This is one of those dresses that is timeless, and I know I’ll wear for years to come.
